Our Safety Mission

OHLA USA’s Safety Mission, which is Think Safety. Always. is bound by the guiding principle that the deeper our commitment to safety, the more we minimize risk and reduce the accident and injury rate onsite. 

Always Educating – Our policy dictates that the safety team, led by OHLA USA’s Vice President of Safety, updates and improves OHLA USA’s Health and Safety Plan as work environments and safety regulations change. The safety team imparts knowledge to all job site staff on new equipment, products, and ideas to enhance best practices in every project-specific safety plan. This critical information is shared in weekly safety newsletters, toolbox talks, and intensive training classes created for job site personnel.

Always Leading – Our VP of Safety and our highly trained safety directors and managers introduce new and improved work practices to field and craft employees to ensure the highest safety standards are followed and adhered to in the field. This is delivered through team-building exercises and intensive training.

Always Improving – We are constantly striving to improve safety awareness and communication and create proactive resolutions to address issues before they become problems. We work closely with equipment suppliers and sureties to organize safety stand-downs and seminars to repeatedly drive down the importance of safety in every aspect of the work plan at every single job site.

Always Accountable – We will never stop trying to reach our potential to achieve ZERO ACCIDENTS. The cornerstone to obtaining this goal is the deep commitment of OHLA USA’s senior management, construction team, and employees to all corporate health and safety matters.
