La Huella Solar Plant
In an EPC contract valued at $65 million, OHLA provided design, construction, commissioning, and maintenance services for the La Huella Solar Plant in Chile. The project has a peak grid power of 87 MW. The generation of 230 GWh/year is able to supply electricity to approximately 78,000 homes, while in turn avoiding CO2 emissions of approximately 164,750 tons/year. Transelec is the public services company that distributes the energy generated from the plant.
The plant, which has been in operation since 2019, features an Axis Tracker (Axial) system, Power Electronics 2.5 MVA – 1500 V inverters, and a Trina 400 Wp. 214,704 monocrystalline photovoltaic modules of 400/405/410 W.
