Perote II, Photovoltaic Plant
In a contract valued at over $50 million, OHLA provided design, construction, commissioning, and maintenance services for the Perote photovoltaic plant in Mexico. The project has a peak grid power of 120 MW. The generation of 234 GWh/year is able to supply electricity to approximately 80,000 homes, while in turn avoiding CO2 emissions of approximately 168,000 tons/year. CFE is a public services company that distributes the generated energy.
