University of Miami Richter Library Expansion

This $15 million project includes 125,000 SF of expansion/renovation of the existing library. The project included a new elevator bank through the existing facility; an HVAC system; electrical distribution systems, including replacement of main electrical service; fire protection system; restroom facilities; a complete new hard-wired IT system; and administration/support areas. The final phase was a Second Floor expansion to house a rare book collection. The new space included high-end finishes for the gallery portion and included a state-of-the-art climate control system to protect the collection from high humidity.
