Leon Medical Centers East Hialeah

OHLA constructed this $29 million, first of its kind, fully integrated technology “smart” East Hialeah Center for Leon Medical Centers. The project consisted of a four-story, 65,000 SF, medical facility on a five-acre site. The phased construction contained a new main entrance plaza, 64 state-of-the-art “smart exam rooms” which are divided into eight pods of eight exam rooms, a four-story central atrium, including Green specifications throughout, and site work. The ground floor features the main lobby, café, dental, rapid care, imaging departments, laboratory, pharmacy, and transportation lobby. Floors two and three house exam rooms and the fourth floor houses a healthy living center, specialty classrooms, gymnasium, a physical therapy department, and areas for the staff. 

Phase 1 included the construction of the new center and site work on the northern half of the property.  Phase 2 included demolition of the existing center and site, construction of the balance of the site on the southern half of the property, installation of the main entrance canopy located off the main entrance plaza, and renovation of the existing parking lot.
