Mission Trails Flow Regulatory Structure II & Flow Control Facility
At Mission Trails Regional Park, a popular hiking destination in San Diego, CA, OHLA USA, Inc. performed all the required activities to construct a mammoth-size, five-million-gallon water storage tank known as the Mission Trails Regulatory Structure-II project. An essential feature of this $30 million contract included the construction of a flow control facility, which necessitated the installation of large pipelines ranging from 94 inches to 48 inches in diameter, including welded steel and HDPE pipe. Once the water tank and flow control facility were completed, the excavated dirt was placed back into its original configuration for hiking enthusiasts to enjoy with access hatches and above-ground vents to allow air movement in and out of the reservoir.
