Pompano Beach Public Library, Cultural Center, and Civic Campus

Our subsidiary, OHLA Building, Inc., oversaw the construction of this iconic institution, which features both a cultural center and a two-story, 46,000-square-foot library. Extensive work on this $15 million contract was performed to construct the Public Library, which features spaces for children’s services, new materials collection, a computer lab, a multi-purpose room, library offices, and support spaces. The Cultural Center component features a public lobby, a digital media suite, offices, a gallery, and flexible multi-purpose event space.

Additional scope of work for this LEED Gold-certified project included site development, demolition work, new utility connections, paving, grading, drainage, new parking lots, a service area, and a dedicated book drop. Site improvements encompassed a new public plaza featuring raised planter areas, street furniture, and a paved breezeway that connects the parking areas to the public plaza.
