Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) Summerlake Elementary School

Our subsidiary, OHLA Building, Inc., served as construction manager for this 88,500-square-foot project that called for constructing a new relief school that accommodates 837 students. The building contains classrooms, skills and resource labs, art, music, administration, a kitchen, a dining and a multi-purpose room, media center, and support spaces. The $19 million contract also featured the construction of a new physical education pavilion, offices, storage space, outdoor amenities, and restrooms.

The site package consisted of new parking areas, parent and bus loops, play areas, walkways and canopies, utilities, drainage systems, landscaping, irrigation, and lighting. As a result of OHLA Building’s highly experienced preconstruction and operations teams, this project was estimated and constructed under the Owner’s budget and exceeded the tax-savings goals.
